MEET THE TEAM

Dr. Sian Williams, Chiropractor

I came to chiropractic as a second career after being an actor, writer and teacher. I switched careers after chiropractic treatment helped me recover from a running injury.

I enjoy  a varied practice and love  working with patients from all walks of life and all activity levels. In my spare time I am  a runner, with five full marathons under my belt. I regularly practice  yoga and, as a downtown resident, I enjoy  walking and biking through our beautiful river valley. I maintain  a strong connection with the local arts community and treat  performers from all disciplines as I have a personal understanding of the specific physical demands placed upon actors, dancers, singers and musicians.

As a mother I also know  first-hand the importance of chiropractic care throughout conception, pregnancy and the post-natal period for women  and babies. I especially love  working with moms-to-be, new parents and children of all ages. I am  an advocate of natural childbirth and see  chiropractic as having an important role in assisting the body to embrace this natural process.

As a former teacher, one of my passions is ensuring that every patient fully understands how and why chiropractic can help. I am very committed to the education of my patients with respect to all areas of their health and wellness. I look  forward to meeting you, getting to know you, answering your questions and helping you reach optimal health so that you can fully enjoy your life and family.

DR. SIAN WILLIAMS

D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic) - Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (Toronto, ON) / M.A. (Master of Arts) - University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB) / B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) - King Alfred's College (Winchester, UK)

I have been working in the beautiful atmosphere of Alinio Chiropractic and Massage clinic since July of 2023. I am a graduate of the 2200-hour program at MH Vicars and, as a Massage Therapist, I make every effort to have my clients leave with a feeling of relief - both physically and psychologically. The sense of healing that massage involves
is as rewarding for me as it is for my clients - I love to see them leave with a better sense of well-being and an improved quality of life. My practice includes relaxation and therapeutic techniques such as Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Joint Play and Myofascial Cupping. I shape my practice to fit the specific needs of each individual I am working with.

When I am out of the office you might see me out for a run or catch me in the spin studio. I have two grey cats, one that enjoys coming for walks with me around the city, adventuring in her bubble backpack. The other likes to stay home for snacks and snuggles. I also enjoy soaking up the mountain air while hiking or skiing.

I cannot wait to work with you and assist you on your wellness journey!

LINDSEY McCAUGHEY

I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at MacEwan University in 2018. My treatments primarily lean towards pain reduction and relaxation. My greatest pride in my work comes from hearing how much relief my treatments bring to my patients and seeing their quality of life improve over time. I combine Swedish and deep tissue techniques with stretches and joint mobilizations to reduce muscle tension, work out knots and improve range of motion.

I am trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post-Natal. Myofascial Cupping and Hot Stone are what I have planned for next in my continued education. While not at work I draw, read books, play volleyball, listen to music and spend time with my family.

I recently moved to Alberta from Ontario where I previously worked as a receptionist for another Chiropractic Clinic. I love doing what I do and seeing the results and relief that both chiropractic and massage can provide. I am very fortunate to be a part of the Alinio team and can't wait to assist patients with all of their front desk needs.

In my downtime you will find me training at my husband and I’s Jiujitsu gym: Limitless BJJ Edmonton. Outside of that, I enjoy snowboarding and golfing. I love getting out and being active and exploring all that Alberta has to offer, especially the food scene!
